Wedding Music: Prelude Selections
While friends & guests gather, we provide light & happy selections for "Prelude".
We begin about 15-20 minutes before Ceremony, or at the time you prefer.

Prelude to have a good mix of Classical & pop/movie favorite selections, such as:
J.S. Bach:   "Air from Orchestral Suite No. 3" (aka Air for the G String),  "Arioso" & many more
"Be Thou My Vision",  Let All Things Now Living & other traditional hymn tunes
Beatles:  "Grow Old With Me"  Christina Perri " A Thousand Years"
Vangelis:  "Hymne"                 Unchained Melody
Andrew Lloyd Weber, many choices such as "Memory" from Cats
Celtic favorites like "Give Me Your Hand"              Rhosymedre by Ralph Vaughn Williams
Handel Water Music      Mozart Laudate Dominum    Mendelssohn "Wings of Song"
Processional Time!
We arrive extra-early to arrange a cue for when to begin your Processionals.  You might want to have up to 3
processionals (Parents, Attendants, and Bride).

Pachelbel Canon in D is wonderful since it has built-in resolutions every 2 or 4 bars.  Traditional choices are:
Clarke's Trumpet Voluntary
Purcell's Trumpet Tune
JS Bach: Jesu, Joy
Handel Air from Water Music

But for something less common, you might consider:
Yellow by Coldplay (wedding version)
In My Life by the Beatles
Bittersweet Symphony by Mick Jagger
I'll Be by Edwin McCain
....we have done nearly everything for a Processional, even Viva la Vida!

Ultimately, your Processional is totally your choice!  It's best if the phrases are not too long, as we don't want to keep
you waiting too long at the altar, before you begin your Ceremony.
Unity Candle/Sand, Wine Box, Celtic Hand-Fasting, Blessing Stones,
Memorials to those who have passed on & other Interludes
including Liturgical music:

  • These are not only great photo opportunities, it's also a time to include some more great music!  Anything from
a gorgeous Ave Maria, to Shania Twain's "From This Moment", to traditional Irish Blessing song.  Typically this
spot of music is about 2 minutes long--we will tailor to fit.

  • A great way to include a memory of recently departed friends/family, is to honor them with music during your
Wedding Ceremony:  perhaps they were fans of Mozart, or had a favorite hymn tune?  Allow a moment of
their memory by providing a space to breathe and remember them with Love.

  • At any time, if there is an unexpected pause or even an emergency during your Ceremony, we are ready to
provide additional music to put everyone at ease, if possible.

  • Church Ceremonies may require specific Liturgical music.  We are experienced with Baptist, Catholic,
Episcopal, Evangelical, Free, Jewish (prelude/postlude), Lutheran (ELCA, WELS and Missouri), and other
religious requirements.  We already own many church hymnals, many of the Catholic Mass settings, and will
work with your church's pianist/organist and cantors.  If you need a pianist/cantor we can recommend several!
Recessional Selections--Joyful, Upbeat and Ready to Party!
Once your Officiant Introduces you, we launch into your Recessional music.
We will do our best to play louder than the applause!  Consider:
Handel: Hornpipe or La Rejouissance
All You Need is LOVE by the Beatles
Here Comes The Sun
Mendelssohn's Wedding March
Arrival of the Queen of Sheba by Handel

Or perhaps something Totally Different---such as "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz!

Postlude selections:
We continue to perform lively music, in your style, as your guests transition to the next phase of Celebration.
